This herb-based mix of dried Zahtar leaves (the hyssop from the Bible, also known as Origanum syriacum, or Syrian hyssop) together with a combination of other ingredients: sesame, sumac, olive oil, and sea salt.
It is used as a spice for meat and vegetables and can be sprinkled on hummus, cream cheese or mixed with olive oil and for dipping pita or flatbread.
